Our crew works across departments so you may see them training, in daycare, doing a bath, at the desk or in kennel. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing crew here at Carden and we are very proud of all of our team. This crew is doing a stellar job of keeping to our rule of "treating every dog like they're the only dog".
Connor manages the daycare program and oversees all operations in the back, outdoor adventures and canine enrichment. His certifications include PPB in Managing Group Play, Barkleigh Safe Handling, Vaccination 101, and PCP Infection Control. He has been with us since the spring of 2019 and your dogs love him.
Rachael is from Maine and recently returned in 2019 with 5 years of boarding and daycare experience managing a similar size facility in the south. Her certifications include PPB in Managing Group Play, Barkleigh Safe Handling, Vaccination 101, and PCP Infection Control. Rachael can work in all departments, but you'll see her most creating fabulous styles in grooming! She also loves taking your pets on outdoor adventures, and canine enrichment.
Leah Collatos is on the Board of Directors for the Maine Professional Groomers Association. She has more grooming experience than we could ever list here. From show dogs to mixes she can bring out the very best in your pet all with lots of gentleness, attention and affection. She has a special soft spot for working with senior dogs. She graduated from the NY School of grooming and hasn't stopped learning since, most recently attending Intergroom in NJ. Leah joined us in the spring of 2014.
Missy is a daycare attendant and trainer here since 2017. She is in charge of our training program and the Puppy Play and Learn program. She is a Quiet Dog Daycare Workshop attendee, goes on outdoor adventures, canine enrichment, and prior experience working in a busy veterinary practice and tends to her own dogs and horse too. Missy takes the majority of our social media photos.
Kaylee is a graduate of John Bapst Memorial High School. She is pursuing a career in medicine at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in NY. You will still see Kaylee in the summer and during school breaks. She works in both the daycare program, bather and kennel technician. Kaylee joined us in March of 2019 and has earned her IBPSA certified Pet Care Technician and certified Pet Care Specialist.
Madlyn is a sophomore in the business program at the University of Maine. Since a young age, I have been riding and showing horses, I spent the majority of my teenage years as a working student. Where I was responsible for the care of client horses in multiple equine facilities of various sizes. Have a love for taking care of animals both big and small!
Alexandra, who recently returned back to New England from Florida, has a bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology from Mount Ida College and has 10+ years of animal experience. From working in kennels such as the one in Walt Disney World, FL which houses over 300 dogs during busy seasons, to Veterinary clinics, to working with Labrador/Golden retriever mixes who are in training to be service dogs at Canine Companions Southeast Region, to working at the Animal Actors Show at Universal Studios Orlando, FL training all kinds of animals not just dogs and cats for movies and television production. Animals have always been her passion from a young age.
Melissa has been with us since November of 2019. Her family dog Jerry has been with us a little longer than that. Melissa is a student at Bangor High school and the 21-22 JROTC Battalion Commander. Melissa is a kennel technician and does many of the services including walks, fetch and pool time.
